Summer squash in general can be tricky to grow in a home garden in South Florida because of the prevalence of shade in peoples yards and how that effects the plants ability to stave off fungal diseases. Eight Ball has intermediate powdery mildew resistance, which means its less likely to contract the pesky and common fungal issue. It also has intermediate resistance to watermelon mosaic virus and zucchini yellow mosaic virus, which are all great things to have in a resilient squash plant. Fruit is ready to harvest with or without flower attached up to about 3\" diameter. Flavor is nice and nutty.  \u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Little River Cooperative","offers":[{"title":"4\" potted plant","offer_id":42767846277202,"sku":null,"price":5.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"1 gal potted plant","offer_id":42767846309970,"sku":null,"price":12.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false},{"title":"3 gal potted plant","offer_id":42767846342738,"sku":null,"price":35.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0535\/4461\/files\/Screenshot2026-09-29at10.20.45AM.png?v=1790691896","url":"https:\/\/littlerivernursery.co\/products\/eightball-squash","provider":"Little River Nursery","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
