But whether a plant is considered invasive or not depends on its environment. Mullein is not a plant found in the wild here in South Florida, so it is not an invasive. Instead, it’s a plant that we cultivate purposefully for its medicinal properties. Mulleins leaves and flowers are brewed into a tea and made into tinctures to support respiratory health and soothing coughs and sore throats. Mullein is also commonly used as a tobacco alternative with its use as a smoking herb dating back to Ancient Greece. Mullein only flowers in its second year, but we haven’t seen a mullein plant make it through the summer here, so you will only have access to its leaves if you chose to grow it in South Florida.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Little River Cooperative","offers":[{"title":"4\" potted plant","offer_id":42665021407314,"sku":null,"price":5.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true},{"title":"1 gal potted plant","offer_id":42665021440082,"sku":null,"price":12.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false},{"title":"3 gal potted plant","offer_id":42665021472850,"sku":null,"price":35.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0535\/4461\/files\/IMG_7284.heic?v=1786458657","url":"https:\/\/littlerivernursery.co\/products\/mullein","provider":"Little River Nursery","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
