Last season our sister farm French Farms got seeds from Commonwealth Seed Growers and the plants did very well so this will be our first year offering this variety to home gardeners. Plants are compact yet vigorous, producing thick-walled fruits that start out green and ripen to a deep red with attractive streaks of orange. The flavor is crisp and sweet, making it an excellent choice for fresh eating, roasting, or cooking. A layer of mulch helps conserve soil moisture and keep the roots cool. Because the peppers are heavy for their size, light staking or a tomato cage can help support the plant once it ’s loaded with fruit. In the kitchen, Solar Flare shines as a versatile sweet pepper. Its thick flesh makes it perfect for stuffing or roasting, while its sweetness stands out when eaten raw in salads or sliced for snacking. \u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Little River Cooperative","offers":[{"title":"4\" potted plant","offer_id":42665022095442,"sku":null,"price":6.5,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false},{"title":"1 gal potted plant","offer_id":42665022128210,"sku":null,"price":12.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false},{"title":"3 gal potted plant","offer_id":42665022160978,"sku":null,"price":35.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0535\/4461\/files\/IMG_1113.heic?v=1786460812","url":"https:\/\/littlerivernursery.co\/products\/solar-flare-pepper","provider":"Little River Nursery","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
