Its similar in flavor and quality to \"Murasaki\", which we have been growing and selling for years, but apparently its a more vigorous grower and higher yielding. The foliage is wide and tinged with purple making it quite ornamental. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eSweet potatoes are great summer crops for your raised bed or your food forest just make sure your raised bed doesn't have much else in it since these plants really spread out! Sweet potatoes will thrive relatively pest free (check the underside of the leaves often for whitefly) and don't mind the heat, humidity and rainfall of summer. They are a very diverse food crop as the leaves can be eaten cooked and then you get a root crop!
